Community. Learning. Friendship. To view a transcript or to leave a comment, please go here: messianicdrew.blogspot.com The Kollel is a place where married adult Jewish men gather to study Talmudic law full-time. The kollel is supported by donations from the community and fundraising programs such as selling raffle tickets. The kollel functions as a power pant for Rabbinic culture, generating the proverbial electricity to keep a community Orthodox and unassimilated. During the day, the kollel learners study full-time. In the evenings, the rest of the Orthodox community comes in to the kollel to learn from the full-time learners. In this way, everyone gets some level of personalized instruction from men highly learned in Jewish law. Children in the day schools get extra help in the religious portion of their homework, and adults get to continue learning even into their old age. The kollel functions as a social hub for the community, helping members network and find a place in it. Celebrations such as the 8th day circumcision, the greeting of holidays, and even bar mitzvahs can take place in a kollel. On summer mornings, schoolchildren will often come to the kollel for morning prayers, have a donut or two, and then learn with their friends and their rabbi for a few hours before playing the rest of the day. The kollel functions as another home away from home, making sure that no one feels too isolated. Like the Sabbath, dependency on the kollel for learning Talmud is another <b>…<b>
THIS VIDEO SONG SOUNDS BEST WHEN VIEWED IN HD (High Definition-the hottest video resolution). We use HD to give you the best Christian music video experience possible. A free MP3 of this Christian song is available for download at www.BrandtMorain.com in the best music format possible (True CD quality — 320Kbps). YouTube formats do NOT give you the best music video quality. YouTube is not CD quality. Sample audio of our other songs are also available. In order to bring you the best Christian music possible, our recording philosophy omits recording industry "innovations" such as Autotune. These devices damage a recording artists performance in our opinion, producing sterile results that have destroyed the quality of some of the best Christian songs and other great music in the industry. Eddie and Jared wish to extend a special thanks to our fans & all the great folks who work with Brandt Morain for their love and support! Best Wishes Everyone. Thanks for listening! Enjoy! "Breathe" by Superchic[k] – Dance Performed by Emerge Dance Company & Mackenzie Aiken of Reflections School of Dance Copyrighted Choreography by Samantha Weissbach May 1, 2011 National Dance Week – "Breathing" Benefit Performance, Everett, WA. Honoring: Seattle Childrens Hospital – Asthma Research, World Asthma Day, World Dance Day & "Youth Unlimited" – Dance Outreach Programs. ** PLEASE READ ** We are privileged to have a very amazing student in our school and on the Dunamis Team who has significant experience with the Childrens Hospital with an extreme form of asthma. Mackenzie Aiken (in this dance) is the inspiration of this years fundraising efforts. During auditions last summer, this 8 year old (who danced to this song) brought to our attention her desire to "give back" in response to the excellent treatment she has experienced through Childrens Hospital in regard to her unique fight with asthma. As ideas began to flow for this project and we realized that the date for our benefit happened to be the kick off day of Global Asthma Awareness Week, we felt we were precisely on track for the project we were to take on this year. This is a short dance production inspired by feelings of desire, struggle, despair and hope of the future. Although it is intended to touch those families with a sick child, the message of strength and hope can encourage all of us. Many of said this dance is very powerful!
